That was quite a week. Over 100 degrees in Margaritaville, Lafayette, CA  – Too hot to labor on Labor Day. No cheeseburgers  . Lemonade only   – or a margarita to
beat this rare, repressive heat. But that ain’t nothin’. We’ve got r reports  of 110 in Concord and Livermore  and 111 in Lodi, CA – I’d hate to be stuck there! I know why they call it BAKERSfield, 114! California was definitely the hottest place in the world  . Want to cool off? Check out Juneau, Alaska – 53 or  Reykjavik, Iceland – 50 Degrees. Hopefully,
by the time you read this things are, or cooler where you are  after four days in the 100s in much of CA 

That’s not our  car – still got the ol’ Maxwell – but a friend’s who was recently involved in a fatal-he’s ok, thankfully. Not so for one of the five other drivers in this chain reaction crash
in Hayward, CA. Just a reminder how quickly and unexpectedly a life can be snuffed out, to drive safely and defensively (as much as possible). Or, stay locked down to really stay safe. Or…read below (JB reporting )
